I’ve seen complaints about the fed mirror tops clipping, but the tiny clipping issues are nothing compared to the mirror Bortasque tops. Unfortunately the top is all the box contains, making the cost rather steep for going sleeveless.Klingons, as is often the case, got the short end of the stick. It’s definitely possible, and I have several bridge officers who don’t like their undershirts already, like the Reman I’ve shown here. You can use either of the standard Republic undershirts, though I think they missed the opportunity to add a third option of no undershirt since this is the mirror ‘verse. I’ve heard a lot of love and a lot of hate for the little shorts, but I think my favorite possibly unintended use for them is as swim shorts since they’re currently showing as an option in the swimwear separates category.Romulans basically get a vest version of the Republic jackets that don’t look too bad.
Or, better yet, each came with some custom sashes or belts or something to make them more unique since both fed boxes include so much. You can also wear your fleet emblem with it at the moment, making it look like an odd sticker slapped on your arm, though I think that’s sort of fun if your fleet has a cool symbol.Honestly, though, I’d be more forgiving of the shortcomings with the kdf and rom options if they also came with Leeta’s booty shorts or some of the belt or chest piece options. That aside, it currently clips badly in most stances, but even worse when the character walks or runs. The female crop top looks a bit hastily cut and doesn’t have anything that gives the sense that it was meant to be made that way, as is the case with the cropped winter tops or most of the other mirror tops it just suddenly ends. This was surprising considering how perfectly the original Bortasque top joins to the hips. It’s less noticeable dead-on, but still visible from some angles.
